Social Media (Twitter):
Mother Jones twitter page is frequent in its post, updated at least twice a day. Their page follows literally nobody, and is simply an output of their news. The feature their authors in different post sharing their twitter page, telling people to follow them (yet ironically hey don't) and share views on articles. Their tweets consist of news features, pictures, shoutouts, but mainly links to the multiple articles on their website |
Social Media (Youtube):
Their YouTube is actually quite interesting and is shows the visual side of their news post. Mother Jones actually creates video including interviews, reality type shows, and an abundance of social experiments. Their audience is young along this media and not the same audience you would find on their site. The comments are mostly positive and all come out to be intrigued. I feel the YouTube is a great way to use popular media to migrate people to their site. |
